Is It Worth It?

One thing I found myself doing over and over while riding was turning around to see who was behind me. Whether it was traffic, another cyclist, or someone on an e-bike, I never liked being surprised by someone passing without announcing themselves or using a bell. As I've gotten older, I've noticed that turning my head that far can sometimes cause me to drift a little off my line. It's not a huge issue, but it was enough that I wanted a safer way to know what was happening behind me while keeping my eyes on where I was going. After doing some research, I decided to give the FEISIKE Rear View Camera a try. This isn't a sponsored review. I bought it with my own money because I thought it might solve a problem I deal with on almost every ride.
First Impressions
The first thing that impressed me was the size of the display. At 4.3 inches, it’s much larger than I expected and easy to glance at while riding.
Within just a few miles I realized I wasn’t constantly looking over my shoulder anymore. A quick glance at the screen tells me if another rider, runner, or vehicle is approaching from behind. It lets me stay focused on what’s in front of me while still knowing what’s happening behind me.

- This is a live rear-view monitor, not a recording camera.
- You should still look over your shoulder before changing lanes or making turns.
- Plan your cable routing before tightening everything down.
- You’ll need room on your handlebars for the display
Who I Think This Is For
Honestly, I think just about any cyclist can benefit from something like this.
Whether you ride roads, bike paths, rail trails, or enjoy group rides, it’s nice to know what’s happening behind you without constantly turning around.
It’s especially helpful when another rider is catching up, someone is getting ready to pass, or you’re simply keeping an eye on family or friends riding behind you.
If you have limited neck mobility, shoulder issues, or just don’t like repeatedly twisting around while riding, this can make a noticeable difference.
My Overall Opinion
This has quickly become one of my favorite accessories.
I liked it enough that I didn’t stop at buying one for myself. My wife now has one on her bike, my father has one on his, and I’ve recommended it to two friends who ended up buying one as well.
For around $45, I think it’s an excellent value. It gives me a better awareness of what’s happening behind me, makes my rides more enjoyable, and helps me feel more confident whether I’m riding alone or with a group.
