Midwest States
A growing master collection of approachable recreational and e-bike routes across the Midwest. Routes are also organized into state-first trail Collections for easier browsing. Current rides feature Illinois and Wisconsin, with additional Midwestern states to be added over time.

Wisconsin
Complete Elroy–Sparta trail route plus six numbered tunnel-free out-and-back rides for riders who cannot walk a bicycle or e-trike through the tunnels. Tunnel approach rides turn around outside each portal. The full-route option includes all three tunnels and requires dismounting and walking. Crushed-limestone surface; Wisconsin State Trail Pass required. Tunnels are seasonal—check current DNR construction and closure notices before riding.

A collection of approachable recreational and e-bike routes around Rockford, Roscoe, Rockton, Loves Park, Pecatonica, and nearby communities. Expect a mix of paved paths, crushed-limestone rail trails, forest preserves, river corridors, and relaxed local group rides.

Wisconsin
A south-to-north series of manageable out-and-back rides covering the Badger State Trail. Most stages stay under 20 miles and use practical trailheads. The Stewart Tunnel is currently closed, so stages 3 and 4 approach the closure safely from opposite sides. Wisconsin trail passes may be required.

Three shorter out-and-back rides designed to cover the Jane Addams Trail from Freeport to the Wisconsin state line in manageable weekly stages, plus one combined full-trail challenge route. The numbered stages progress north from Freeport.
